What is Antimony?
Antimony is a shiny, silvery-gray metal that’s brittle (it breaks easily). In nature, it comes in two main forms: antimony-121 and antimony-123.
It’s used in many things like batteries, solder (for joining metal parts), machine parts, and electronics. About half of all pure antimony made today is mixed with lead to make it harder. This stronger lead alloy is mostly used in car batteries, but also in bullets, tracer rounds, and protective coverings for cables. Antimony is great for making other metals tougher and more durable.
